Agog Supports 8th Wall’s Next Chapter

An Update on 8th Wall’s Open Source Transition: Support from Agog

Since we announced 8thwall.org, we’ve been working on setting up the 8th Wall project to run as an independent, community-stewarded project. Today, we have some good news to share on that front: Agog: The Immersive Media Institute has awarded a grant to support this transition.

Agog’s support will go directly toward maintaining and expanding the features that matter most to 8th Wall developers: device and browser compatibility for the XR engine, 8th Wall Studio visual editor, and documentation and reference implementations that make the platform easier to build with and contribute to.

Thank you to Agog! We are very grateful to have their support in order to continue the mission of making AR accessible to everyone.
